The Texas State Gymnastics Club is a sports club for Texas State University that was established in 1968, making it one of the oldest sports clubs in the history of the university. The club also participates in a variety of fundraisers, kids gymnastics classes, hosts competitions, and is currently planning a variety of community service projects.
The club competes in the TGC (Texas Gymnastic Conference) and NAIGC (National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs) conferences. Throughout the year we compete against our fellow texas schools: Texas A&M, University of Texas, Baylor University, Texas Tech University, University of Texas at Dallas and many more.
Team practices are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7-9pm in the Aqua Sports Center. Various members of our team also coach a program called “GymKats” which we encourage and motivate children to learn the importance of functional movements as well as teach proper techniques and progressions used in gymnastics.
